Holiday Inn Express Cardiff Airport, An Ihg Hotel

The rooms at this low budget hotel were recently refurbished. The staff was efficient and accommodating, the beds were extremely comfy. The location was easy - short walk to the airport, Public transport and the airport terminal.

The lounge was comfortable to sit in. I liked that one could eat (outside!) food there. Found the cleaning staff very curteous and helpful

At arrival, didn't find staff very professional. The lady was on the phone and swore while we were waiting to be helped. Found staff very slow, both at reception as at the bar. Had to wait for a long time to get helped. Rooms very noisy from other guests. Had requested wake-up call and didn't get it, so it was good I had set my own alarm as a back-up, otherwise would've missed my 6 o' clock plane!! The television screen in the lobby only showed arrivals, whereas it would obviously make more sense to show departures (especially during this period where many flights were cancelled due to snow!!)!! Fitness area was very small and only had 3 exercise machines, which I found a bit misleading from the description of the hotel. Shuttle left late!

I appreciated the quick and easy airport transfer. Plenty of parking space. The room was clean and included all necessary amenities.

The staff were extremely helpful and understanding , we flew in early for a wedding and would be there all day. The staff allowed us to check in early which made things a lot less hassle in a very busy and stressful day.

comfortable bed ,warm room, and helpful staff . Breakfast simple and adequate for airport hotel . Large bathroom (disabled although I am able bodied )

Basin tap didnt work but this was quickly rectified .

I have stayed in most of the hotels in the area and I found that this was the best of the group, although a little more expensive. The rooms was of a good standard, clean and everything worked! The staff were effecient, The breakfast was well presented with a large choice of cereals and fruiy.

The quick shuttle service made my early flight stress-free, and the room's triple glazing provided a peaceful night despite being near the airport.

convenient location , comfortable bed with choice of pillows. comfortable lounge area and more than adequate breakfast.

no place to plug in a hair straighteners or curling iron? mirrored area has no electrical outlets and electical outlet is at desk area with no mirror. clearly not a room designed for women!

Clean, pleasant atmosphere, good staff, nice food.
